Job Description
Create and maintain mapping products including civil engineering deliverables, and records utilizing automated mapping and GIS technologies at a technical level, not considered professional. Analyze source engineering and land title documents, extracting relevant data to support the project assigned. Perform civil engineering/surveying calculations using established processes, using geometry and algebra. Analyze client verbal requests for mapping support, assess available data and recommend appropriate mapping/cartographic workflows and processes for creation of suitable mapping deliverables. Provide a broad base of mapping support for PSEG business processes and information presentation, with special emphasis on real estate, environmental and governmental regulatory support requirements, preparing geographic documents that incorporate classic mapping, photographic and remotely sensed imagery, and automated data.

:High School Diplomaor Equivalent.
:Proficiency in the use of Computer Mapping software, e.g. Microstation, Iplot, Image management software, rendering and visualization applications.
:Familiarity in the use of Geo:spatial Information System software, e.g. ArcGIS and associated modules.
:Skills in Applied Cartography, Automated Mapping, Image processing for mapping and Cadastral Surveying Calculations.
:5 years of experience in Automated Mapping using Microstation, or the equivalent, in a networked environment with Computer (CAD and GIS) file management experience at the user level.
:Expert proficiency in the use of Computer Mapping software, e.g. Microstation, Iplot, Image management software, rendering and visualization applications.
:Strong spatial and mathematical ability.
:Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
:Proficiency in the use of integrated Civil Site application software such as InRoads/GeoPak or the equivalent.
:Formal training in Civil Engineering, Cartography or Automated Mapping,
:Associates Degree
