General Overview:
The Portfolio Manager supports the Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) portfolio working closely with the Product Owner and acting as a point of contact between technology leads and line:of:business (LOB) business leads. This role helps plan, scope, and prioritize initiatives in support of the multi:year EIS roadmap. Additionally, this position determines the implications of business strategy for short/long term IT initiatives and advances appropriate solutions.

This position controls, monitors, and reports on a consolidated set of projects, programs, and associated changes for delivery. This individual keeps current the overall portfolio timeline and the budget for the defined portfolio. Additionally, this role raises emerging issues and recommends necessary actions to course correct. The Portfolio Manager communicates effectively across technology teams to ensure EIS deliverables and timelines are well understood and sequenced appropriately.

Primary Responsibility:
:Working in conjunction with the EIS Product Owner, prioritize demand and plan initiatives that optimizes the use of resources
:Assess portfolio activities and compare to available cross:technology resources and constraints
:Work closely with the EIS Product Owner, Architects and Tech Leads in the development and execution of defined strategies and project development, facilitating the smooth adoption of new technology:based solutions
:Facilitate the solutioning of key business critical / priority issues and aligning the project budget accordingly (make most of the dollars being spent)
:Provide effective project communication and governance plans to stakeholders
:Work closely with IT financial analyst to provide oversight and detailed reporting on overall financials on a regular basis
:Control, monitor and report on a consolidated set of projects, programs, and associated changes for delivery
:Flags and monitors emerging issues and recommends necessary actions and works with Scrum Masters to course correct
:Makes trade:off decisions in terms of budget and resources where required for projects under their management, setting priorities and managing interdependencies across a portfolio
:Provides support and mentorship to Scrum Masters, Program Managers and Project Managers

:Demonstrated experience with managing and delivering medium scale, complex IT projects
:Experience and familiarity with Insurance and Financial Services business systems strongly preferred
:Experience in facilitation, issue management and resolution
:Experience managing projects with variable staffing including onsite/offshore execution models
:Typical candidates will possess 3+ years of relevant experience
