The Director, Global Content Strategy is a member of First Data s Digital Marketing team, supporting the global marketing organization with the strategy of digital content.The ideal candidate will lead the online content strategy for the First Data and Clover brands, as well as our other brands, which include Star Debit Network, Money Network, Sam s Club Merchant Services, and various co-branded programs. Work includes supporting digital direct response of our lead generation and lead nurture campaigns for these brands, maintaining the relevance and value of digital content, and deliveringcreative work that exceeds client expectations.
The Director, Global Content Strategy will lead content strategy development (e.g., strategy framework development and application), support the creative development process (e.g., creative brief development and engagement factors), and ensure that the implementation of the program is consistent with best practices (including ensuring the right level of support is being provided for analytics and SEO optimization before and during the program) for First Data customers globally. This role will drive digital content publishing and reusability of that content across our digital properties for the firm.
The candidate must be a knowledgeable practitioner of Web site usability best practices, html, and graphic creation and have international digital experience. The candidate also will have strong digital marketing technology skills, html and a thorough understanding of web site development life cycle and best practices are required.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
I n collaboration with Head of Digital, set vision for role of branded content across the global digital enterprise
Define content principles pertaining to voice, tone, formats, copy, visual identity, and more
C reate audience and channel specific strategies including social networks, email, video and mobile.
P lan and document the requirements for cross-channel digital campaigns, including new and updated product releases and new strategic Insights. Documentation includes use case planning, and User Experience Design considerations.
Manage the editorial publishing process and coordinate content producers across the firm
Lead a team of regional strategists, ensuring coordination, cross-pollination, and local translation
Work closely with the Global Creative Director and team of creative concepts
Engage creative partners ranging from internal resources to outsider vendors
Manage content production budgets
Extract insights from content analytics to continuously improve performance
Define key metrics that signal success of content and how it links back to business drivers
Oversee creation and maintenance of digital brand guidelines and best practices
*SCOPE OF THE JOB*
The position develops budgets and is responsible for metrics to measure the success of his/her area of responsibility. This position will be expected to stay on budget with all deliverables and meet established deadlines.
*AUTONOMY*
Performs duties and makes complex decisions and recommendations under limited direction and using a high degree of initiative and independent judgment . This position is required to work autonomously in the development and execution of marketing strategy. When decisions are needed beyond their span of control, assistance is sought from the Sr. Director or VP of Marketing.
*JOB REQUIREMENTS*
* Bachelor s Degree in related field
* 7 years of professional experience in digital content marketing (both always on social presence, campaigns, and websites)
* 7 years of professional experience in digital content and media publishing
* Preferred experience in financial services
* Preferred experience with Adobe Experience Manager or similar CMS
* 5 years professional experience in demand generation initiatives and strong understanding of digital marketing, paid media and conversion tracking.
* Demonstrated understanding of online business and content models and strategies, and practical experience publishing content across multiple platforms as well as paid, owned and earned
* Experience leading content and editorial strategy on website development, mobile applications and social media campaigns.
* Highly professional, persuasive, and strong client interaction skills, especially with senior clients
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Drive for exceptional performance
* A detail, solution, and delivery orientation
* Extremely well organized and self-motivated with a problem solving attitude
* Exceptional command of the Adobe Creative Suite
* Impressive work ethic and strong collaboration required. A true team player.
* Highly proficient in MS Office and project management tools.
