Public Service Enterprise Group is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and collaborative rising college rising junior or rising senior to join our Insurance and Risk Management team based in Newark, NJ. The Insurance and Risk Management intern is responsible for supporting the implementation and administration of the companys risk management program, and will report directly to the Insurance and Risk Manager within the Treasury Department of PSEG.
The summer interns will be supporting the Insurance and Risk Management teams in numerous areas, including but not limited to:
: Participate in insurance renewal process, including analyzing risk exposures, preparing insurance application submissions, providing coverage analysis, discussing strategy with insurance brokers, and presenting renewal options to senior management
: Participate in the management and resolution of claims for all lines of coverage
: Implement and manage the Surety Bond electronic documentation process
: Assist in the budget planning cycle process
: Assist in coordination and management of certificates of insurance for all PSEG operations
Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree majoring in Accounting, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or similar related major from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. Candidates must have excellent oral and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. GPA information MUST be included on your resume for employment consideration.
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10:12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students with GPA of 3.0 staying in the NJ/NY/PA metro area for the duration of the internship and able to commute to the assigned work location. Housing, transportation, Immigration Support will not be provided with this position.
As an employee of PSE and G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
