The company operates within the education industry.Develops and implements the strategy of the ERM Infrastructure team - 30%With collaboration across the ERM function and in alignment with the business areas to ensure support of their initiativesManage and enhance the Board level ERM Policy and related procedures - 10%The annual Board approval of the Risk Appetite FrameworkThe annual refresh of the Risk Profile Report; to reflect the evolving risk & control environmentOwn the continued development and evolution of risk related technology platforms - 15%The Governance, Risk and Compliance ('GRC') platform partnering with the business, Internal Audit and Compliance;Support automation and other enhancements of risk reporting across the ERM functionProvide expert risk management insight and guidance in the continued evolution of key ERM Framework components - 20%MARC process as a foundational risk & control tool; including the potential application of business process mapping as a key enhancement;Manage and evolve elements of the ERM Framework including Internal Controls Testing, Emerging Risks and Operational Events to support the overall risk management objectivesManage all audits and examinations for the ERM function - 10%Develops and leads administration of ongoing training related to ERM - 5%Models the behaviors to effectively attract, develop and retain ERM staff to ensure appropriate bench strength within ERM - 10%Contributes to a positive, participative, and collaborative team environment that inspires creative, high-performing, continuous learning, and engaged team members Bachelor's Degree ideally in an analytical field (economics, finance, statistics, engineering etc.) is required, graduate study desirable15 plus years of risk management experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, audit, credit risk management and related fields5 years of leadership experience in a financial services or banking environmentA proven track record of success in an oversight role with excellent engagement skills to engage with a diverse group of constituentsRich experience and awareness of regulatory issues and fostering positive relationshipsDemonstrable record of successfully delivering transformational programs predicated upon business engagement and buy-inGiven the element of change associated with the position, the successful candidate must evidence the highest personal standards in terms of integrity and maturity in soliciting and resolving feedback, regardless of source, to establish themselves as a positive, trusted partner by the first line of defenseThe candidate is expected to influence and contribute to, the on-going development of the ERM functionPromote awareness and understanding of the ERM functionCandidates must possess the gravitas to effectively interact at all levels of the organization including management committees, with senior management, the Board of Directors etc.
