Plant Manager Power Plant
Steam Turbine Natural Gas Burning Facility

Location: New Orleans Area, LA, US

Relocation Option: Approved in accordance with the company guidelines
Travel Percentage: Up to 25
Manage and oversees the daily operations of a power plant. Meets system load requirements and monitors operations for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are followed. Leads and directs the work of others. Oversees technical staff, such as maintenance or engineering, and hires and trains personnel. Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for reliability, safety, compliance, and the financial performance at assigned location.
:Supervise plant operations, maintenance, repair, or testing activities.
:Prepare and manage plant budgets.
:Implement processes to ensure maximum asset utilization.
:Supervise operations or maintenance employees in the production of power from natural gas, coal, or oil.
:Support management activities including hiring, conducting performance reviews, and coordinating and scheduling work.
:Monitor the operating status of plant(s) by observing control system parameters, distributed control systems, switchboard gauges, or other indicators.
:Continuously monitor performance results against financial and operational goals.
:Supervise operations or maintenance employees in the production of power from natural gas, coal, oil or hydro.
:Monitor the operating status of plants by observing control system parameters, distributed control systems, or other indicators.

Minimum education required of the position
:College or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position
:At least 8 years experience.
:Power plant operations and maintenance experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Experienced Project or Plant Manager with excellent leadership skills.
:In:depth experience in operating a power plant.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
