Job Summary Our Client, a single provider solution for managing and securing mission:critical IT services is seeking a Remote DevOps Security Engineer possessing a solid background in host, network and application security theory and practice. Senior DevOps Security Engineer with strong network, host, and Web security skills with a DevOps mindset and hands:on security automation experience. The position offers the opportunity to use DevSecOps principles and realize innovative security solutions that scale. You will work in our rapidly growing organization to protect and continue to scale the worldA?s largest cloud:based platform for automated testing of web and mobile applications. The position offers excellent growth opportunities working with the latest DevOps and Cloud technologies. 100 Remote.Responsibilities Act as a security subject matter expert to support development and operations teams and activities. Design and develop automation to ensure platform, services, and machine security. Develop security monitoring and detection systems. Investigate anomalous events across our service infrastructure and coordinate response with DevOps teams. Recommend and help implement improved threat response capabilities into the DevOps platform. Assist with code review for deployment automation as well as actual product capabilities. Coordinate testing activities including traditional penetration testing as well as developing automated security QA testing. Audit the accuracy of identities and roles within various platforms.QualificationsExperience Solid background in host, network and application security theory and practice. Working knowledge of TCP/IP and general networking concepts. Understanding of virtualization and containerization technology (LxC/Kubernetes/Docker). Experience using Amazon AWS or other IaaS/PaaS/SaaS equivalents. Experience with tool development using one or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Golang, and/or Bash. Basic understanding of security models surrounding encryption, PKI, authentication, authorization and access controls. Experience with SIEM technologies and integration with monitoring and logging technologies such as: Sumologic, Splunk, Nagios, Logstash, NewRelic, Reimann, Airbrake, Prometheus. Working knowledge of SCM tools like Github, Jenkins, Travis, and/or CircleCI. Familiarity with configuration management systems (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Understanding of modern database technologies (SQL and NoSQL). Experience managing penetration tests and driving resolution through standard SDLC processes and tools.
