Job Summary
The key business responsibility of this position will be to improve operational quality in ISA Operations and in the Americas Offices by conducting or supporting team members / other offices to conduct Operations Instructions and Self Inspection, which is Tokyo Head Office framework for operations control.
* Provide support and advice to the offices in the Americas for Standard Procedures Overseas, and SI related issues, either on-site or off-site.
* Support Planning and Administration Services (PAS) management, DHs, and other PAS members in the commission of other PAS functions. Execute ad-hoc project and assignment from PAS Management to enhance operations quality of ISA Operations and offices in the Americas.
Major Responsibilities
1. Support Execution of Operations Instruction and Conduct Self Inspection as a main officer
* Plan and prepare for on-site visit to all offices in the Americas with the help of supervisors.
* Conduct on-site and off-site monitoring of the offices. Review the operations and provide advices. Follow up actions taken by the offices to address the issues and advices given at on-site Operations Instruction and SI monitoring.
* Conduct all SI checks ( Physical Check, Internal Control, Information Security and Unit s Own Risk Item s) for all dep artmen t s in ISA Operations East in coordination with SI liaison in each department, according to the SI Implementation Procedures from Head Office (HO) .
* Make sure that all defects/irregularities are properly recorded and appropriate countermeasures are established by the department. Follow up the development as stipulated in HO procedure in conjunction with other Instructors.
* Reports the results to ISA Operations management and HO as scheduled .
2. Provide advices and supports on operation related issues and operation improvement
* Analyze operations of each office in the Americas and give helpful advices and proactive guidance by off-site.
* Assist the managements of offices in the Americas for maintaining sound operation that comply with regulatory requirements and Head office guidelines by providing the advices and suggestion.
* Provide educational seminar to the staff to improve the operation quality as required.
3 . Improv e instructor ability and department activities
* Improve ability by learning related materials, participating in Ops Instructors activities, and exchanging knowledge and know-how with other Instructors.
* Perform active communication with HO staff in charge of Standard Procedures Overseas and SI to obtain up-to-date information regarding HO procedures.
* Improve activities of Department by assisting DH in the area of administration and control including schedule coordination with the business units, due date controls for the report, updating unit procedures and prepare presentation materials.
* Administer the exceptional handling application from offices in the Americas
4. Ad-Hoc assignment from Ops Planning Management
* Support ISA Operations Management in the consummation of other ISA Operations objectives including Risk Management and Quality Assurance, and various ad-hoc special projects as necessary.
* Overall knowledge on banking business, back office operations or internal control
* Four year college degree
