Job Description:/h3:
The network manager will lead a team both onshore and offshore. The team supports the network consisting of five sites and multiple connections to service and provider partners.
Responsibilities
:Support resolution of critical issues with Infrastructure and manage day to day operations calls during disruptions; assess root causes and methods for remediation.
:5 years of experience managing and configuring enterprise:wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.
:2 years successful leadership of an infrastructure team.
:Past hands:on experience troubleshooting hardware issues including routers, bridges, switches, hubs, network interface cards, etc.
:Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills
:Responsible for managing the engineering and operations efforts and personnel, both on and offshore.
:Design and implement short: and long:term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
:Assess areas for operational and design optimization, both within the domestic and international partner connectivity.
:Establish service levels and metric management processes.
:Establishes network priorities as they relate to achievement of short and long:term business goals and objectives.
:Work with technical architects, security, partners and customers on network initiatives and requirements gathering.
:Manage, develop and train staff; develop and monitor goals; conduct annual performance reviews, and administers salaries for the staff.
:Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource
Education
:Requires 4 year degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline.
:Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Systems design and support or relevant field.
:Additional Licensing, Certifications, Registrations
Knowledge
:Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
:Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, MS Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery.
:Experience with cloud technologies and network components, e.g. AWS
:Understanding of network data components as they relate to voice infrastructure
:Extensive understanding of network protocols including:
:Routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
:IOS
:WAN connectivity
:Spanning:tree, Port Channels
:Multicast
:Nexus configuration and design
:MPLS engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting
:Experience with DNS and F5 design and support
:Wireless configurations and design architecture
:Understanding role of network management in the identification and protection of PHI data
Other Desirable Qualifications
:Quality of Service understanding and configuration; able to customize across all Cisco platforms to support Voice, Video, and selected applications
:Cisco ISE integration
:Cisco/Ironport
:SourceFire and/or Palo Alto Firewall
